LIMA, Ohio — Residents at the Primrose Retirement Community explored local resources to enhance their lives during a Health and Wellness Expo hosted at the center.
A handful of agencies were on hand to provide information and services aimed at supporting seniors, including assistance with healthcare, daily living, and community programs. Primrose administrators say events like this are valuable in helping residents stay informed and engaged.
Jason Risner, executive director of Primrose, said the expo helps residents “age in place” by connecting them with care partners and resources. “Sometimes in order for that to happen, we have to get some care partners involved, and education and knowing about what’s available is so important to make that happen,” Risner said.
Primrose hosts the Health and Wellness Expo every other year, giving residents the opportunity to learn about services and support available to them.
