(Gray News) – President Donald Trump said he will offer “full immunity” to members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with its military and police forces, if they stop fighting.
“We are hearing that many of their IRGC, Military, and other Security and Police Forces, no longer want to fight, and are looking for Immunity from us. As I said last night, “Now they can have Immunity, later they only get Death!” he wrote in a Truth Social post.
Trump reiterated the claim in a video posted to Truth Social on Sunday.
“I once again urge the Revolutionary Guard, the Iranian military police to lay down your arms and receive full immunity or face certain death,” he said.
The conflict in the Middle East continued Monday as Israel and the U.S. continued its attack on Iran.
Iran has long threatened to drag the entire Middle East into a total war, including targeting Israel, the Gulf Arab states and the flow of crude oil crucial for global energy markets. All of these came under attack on Monday, according to the Associated Press.
The death toll continues to grow with four American troops dead and several others injured.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society said that the U.S.-Israeli operation has killed at least 555 people. In Israel, where several locations were hit by Iranian missiles, 11 people were killed.
The Iranian-backed Hezbollah militant group also targeted Israel, which responded with strikes on Lebanon, killing more than two dozen people.
Three people were reported killed in the United Arab Emirates and one each in Kuwait and Bahrain.
