Greg Mendez will release his new album ‘Beauty Land’ on May 29th.

The Philadelphia-based songwriter has quietly made a name for himself these past few years, touring alongside the likes of Waxahatchee, Angel Olsen and Allegra Krieger.

New album ‘Beauty Land’ is his first since the unexpected breakout success of his self-titled album in 2023, which garnered huge word of mouth hype before being re-issued by Dead Oceans.

Out on May 29th, ‘Beauty Land’ was recorded direct to tape in a small room in Philadelphia, with Greg Mendez working almost entirely alone.

New single ‘I Wanna Feel Pretty’ is out now, a gorgeous stripped back miniature with a video shot by Rhys Scarabosio on 35mm film.

Of the song, Greg Mendez says, “I spent most of my childhood in the suburbs, surrounded by the American Dream. Grand and lonely, strip malls and housing developments. Cathedrals of consumerism and reconstituted culture. The stores weren’t built for the towns, the towns were built for the stores. No one really belongs. The dream is close enough to smell but as soon as you reach out, your hand passes right through – a hologram of a promise. I hoped this video would feel like that.”
