Chadron City Council met Monday evening for a short meeting. One of the highlights of the night was amending the city zoning regulations to allow hair salons to be operated out of private homes. While it was approved, beauticians must have a special permit, enough personal parking space for clients, and a few more regulations.
Also Monday night, Mayor Klein spoke up about the lease he’d previously signed with Belarus, LLC, for the rental of the building to use as a temporary set up for Chadron Public Library while they are renovating.
In closing comments, City Council members urged the community not to forget about the Post Playhouse Fundraiser on March 14 and the Green Gala on March 21, 2026.
