Ghost Energy, one of the most innovative supplement companies out there, is diving into the protein ready-to-drink (RTD) market.
This is not your ordinary, generic chocolate and vanilla flavored launch. They are collaborating with Yoo-hoo for an 11-ounce canned shake containing 25 grams of protein and 110 calories overall.
Ghost briefly dipped their toes into the RTD world years ago with a Chips Ahoy protein, but it was temporary. It’s unclear if this Yoo-hoo launch is the same. One complaint fans of the brand have is that they release flavors only for short periods of time before they disappear.
You would think this is a permanent staple, since it is their only protein RTD, but that is just speculation.
Ghost has arguably had more success than any other supplement company with collaborations. There’s almost zero doubt that this Yoo-hoo protein is going to be great. Their R&D department has managed to nearly mimic the exact flavor of the collaborative brands used in their energy drinks. Welch’s, Warheads, Swedish Fish, and Sour Patch Kids are just some of the brands they’ve worked with in the past – all highly successful.
With powder proteins, they’ve worked with Chips Ahoy, Oreo, Nutter Butter, and Cinnabon. The new RTD isn’t the only thing generating buzz for Ghost. At this weekend’s Arnold Classic expo, they are launching Lucky Charms, Trix, and Cocoa Puffs whey protein flavors.
There is no official release date confirmed at this time, but Ghost typically builds anticipation through their social media channels. Whether this ends up being a limited run or a permanent addition to their lineup, expect it to sell out fast. Ghost has built one of the most loyal fanbases in the supplement industry, and a Yoo-hoo protein shake is exactly the kind of release that gets people talking.
