Fitness influencer Stephanie Buttermore has died at the age of 36, her fiance, fellow fitness creator Jeff Nippard, announced.
Canadian bodybuilder and YouTuber Nippard shared the news in an emotional statement on social media, confirming that Buttermore passed away recently.
“It is with profound sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Jeff’s fiancee and partner of ten years, Stephanie. As many of you know, Stephanie meant the world to Jeff,” the post read.
“She will be remembered for her warmth and compassion, her love for her family, and her PhD research on ovarian cancer,” the statement read.
He ended the post by asking people to respect their privacy while they deal with the loss of Buttermore. “We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this tragic loss. Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time,” the statement concluded.
The news of her death comes just a few days after her 36th birthday on February 25.
Less than two weeks before her birthday, Nippard shared a Valentine’s Day photo of the two of them on Instagram. In the picture, they were smiling together and captioned it as, “Relationshipmaxxing with tea time to lower cortisol levels.”
The couple was together for around 10 years and got engaged in October 2022.
Buttermore was a well-known fitness influencer, but in May 2024, she decided to quit social media, which had about 525,000 followers on Instagram and more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube. She said she made this decision because her anxiety had become ‘crippling.’
After taking a break from social media, she later said her mental health improved a lot, and she felt “the best it’s ever been.”
” It was almost crippling a few years ago to the point I felt I couldn’t breathe or leave my house. Now, I really don’t have to care whether people liked what I posted or if they are saying negative things about me,” she wrote.
She had a strong academic background. She earned a PhD in pathology and cell biology from the University of South Florida, according to her YouTube channel.
