The Pike County Education Retirees Association (PCERA) members met on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at the Troy Recreation Multi-purpose complex room.
The guest speaker for the day was Denetrice (Nikki) Jones, Operations Manager of the City Of Troy Nutrition Center. Jones was introduced by PCERA President, Tellis Hill.
Hill stated that he has volunteered and worked with Jones for the past three years. He described her as having the “Faith of Abraham, Strength of Samson, Courage of David and the Patience of Job.” Jones talked with the members about the Nutrition Center, and its goal, which is to provide each senior citizen with social, educational, recreational and cultural services that will assist them in improving their quality of life.
