Houston, Texas – One of Mōtiv Fitness most unique classes is trampoline fitness. Using a mini-trampoline, the high-energy workout combines cardio and strength training in a low-impact format that’s easier on the joints.
Trainer at Mōtiv, Alison Brookby stopped by studio B to show us how it’s’ done. Movement has always been a major part of Alison’s life. She was born New York and raised in Houston, where she grew up as a competitive dancer and an avid runner. Her love for music and movement eventually led her to discover group fitness classes while in college—an experience she says instantly hooked her.
Brookby turned that passion into a career and has worked as a fitness professional since 2013. Over the years she has served not only as an instructor but also as an instructor trainer, helping guide others entering the industry. She holds certifications in barre, indoor cycling, trampoline cardio, and mat Pilates.
She’s also a mom to two children and a proud breast cancer survivor. That experience, she says, strengthened her commitment to helping others prioritize their health and wellbeing.
