Clarksburg fitness professional Monte Johnson is representing Montgomery County in the quarterfinals of the national Mr. Health & Fitness competition.
Johnson has spent more than 20 years working in the fitness industry, specializing in corrective exercise and performance training. Through his coaching, he focuses on helping busy professionals stay strong, mobile, and injury-resilient through accountability-driven training programs.
At 55 years old, Johnson says fitness remains a central part of his daily life. He works out six to seven days a week and says he feels guilty if he misses more than a day of training, a level of dedication that has helped shape both his personal routine and his coaching philosophy.
The national competition also helps raise funds and awareness for the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, which supports families battling childhood cancer.
Local support has helped Johnson advance to the quarterfinals, and he hopes to continue representing the Montgomery County community as the competition moves forward. Residents who would like to support Johnson can vote in the Mr. Health & Fitness competition as the quarterfinal round continues.
