Last August, a grand opening event was held to unveil Minden’s first co-working space, Gumption. Just over six months later, on March 13, Kevin and Julie Krull invited the community back to explore the newest addition to the Gumption Vibe. Gumption began as a co-working space that was meant to inspire community, creativity, and connectivity. The west end of the building is outfitted with a variety of comfortable workspaces to meet the needs of people needing to get business done. With secure, reliable, high-speed internet, desks, tables, comfortable chairs, conference rooms, a video booth, a phone booth, ADA accessible restrooms, lockers, and a kitchen stocked with coffee and snacks to enjoy in the community break room, the shared space began bringing people together to make things happen. The Krulls never meant to stop there and renovations of the east end of the building began soon after. While focus for the west wing is placed on innovation, networking, and creativity, the east end leans toward wellness, care and gathering.
Accessed by a door at 349 N. Minden Avenue, the east wing has been transformed to allow healing and wellness practitioners the ideal space to offering services like massage, energy work, counseling, health coaching, acupuncture, restorative care, and more right here in Minden. The Krulls have begun connecting with interested practitioners to bring the larger city healing services closer to home. Their motto: healthy communities begin with healthy people.
Gumption also offers a place for rest and renewal with three curated Airbnb suites as well. The Nature Nook is centered on reconnecting with nature through sensory amenities that provide an ideal space for rest.
The Salt Sanctuary soothes guests with its tranquil furnishings that provide a calm haven of relaxation away from home. The Resonance Room im- merses guests in sound and light experiences that harmonize body, mind, and spirit in restorative alignment.
Upgrades are available for the most soothing Airbnb stays. Available add-ons include Reso-
nance Reset, HeartBloom Ritual, Dream Weaver, and Gumption Sampler. Each package pampers guests for a restful stay that will leave them rejuvenated.
A large community space complete with fireplace and comfortable seating creates he perfect backdrop for gatherings. Gumption en- courage the community to join in the fun for First Friday, Third Thursday, and Pop-up events that will entertain, inspire, and bring people together.
The space was full for the open house event with members of the community gathering to see the renovated space, talk, laugh, and enjoy being together. This is the vision the Krulls held for Gumption: a place where people gather, share ideas, support one another, and imagine what’s possible for this town.
