BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (WPDE) — A Bennettsville man charged with voluntary manslaughter in a deadly shooting last June has been found immune from prosecution following a Stand Your Ground hearing this week, according to Fourth Circuit Solicitor Mike Burch.
Daeshuane Bostic was charged in the shooting death of a 23-year-old man on J. Pledger Lane in Bennettsville.

Bostic’s attorney, Robert Stucks, released the following statement following the court’s ruling:
“Daeshuane Bostic was charged with Voluntary Manslaughter, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime and Criminal Conspiracy. We asserted he was immune from prosecution under the SC Protection of Persons and Property act (Stand your ground). Today a Circuit Court ruled Mr. Bostic is immune from prosecution.”
