New York City-based real estate developer Continuum Company has announced it will build a new mixed-use development in Miami, US, with a 150,000sq ft waterfront wellness space for fitness, sport, wellness, leisure and social experiences.
Continuum Company specialises in ground-up development of large-scale mixed-use residential, commercial, hospitality and retail projects in New York, South Florida and Las Vegas.
Continuum 12000 Sport and Wellness Residences
The new Miami project in Biscayne Bay is called Continuum 12000 Sport and Wellness Residences, based on its address – 12000 North Bayshore Drive. The developers have access to 1.5 acres of submerged land, 150,000sq ft of which will become an immersive waterfront experience.
Allie Eichner, president of Continuum Florida, said: “The reality is, in Miami you’re surrounded by water, but you can’t get on it,” said Eichner. “At 12000, you don’t just get a great view, you get a first-of-its-kind immersive waterfront experience.
“Continuum 12000 is my vision for Waterfront Wellness, blending the legacy of Continuum with the Mermaid Club’s water-focused approach to wellbeing to create residences that elevate how you feel, operate, and experience life,” added Eichner.
Construction on the project is due to begin in 2027, based on plans by Continuum’s existing design partners: architect Kobi Karb, interiors by Paul Duesing Partners and wellness-inspired landscaping by Urban Root.
The property will have a 20-floor glass tower comprising 262 private residences with terraces and views of the ocean and Miami skyline. Amenities include a sports screening room, alfresco bar, dining areas and a demonstration kitchen. Residents will also have access to yacht club and beach club memberships.
The Mermaid Club will have a spa and longevity centre, with contrast therapies such as cold plunges and infrared saunas. There will also be a 4,200sq ft fitness centre with Booty Builder equipment.
The facility will have an aquatic playground, a beach deck for yoga and relaxation, floating pools like those used by anchored superyachts, paddleboards, water toys and a 20-slip private marina.
Sports will be possible at the Mermaid Club, with facilities for indoor pickleball, multi-sport courts, golf, multi-sport simulators and putting greens.
