My Wellness Putnam County conducted its official ribbon cutting Thursday, March 19 at the YMCA, marking the successful launch of the community wellness program dedicated to keeping employees healthy and working.
The celebration brought together community leaders and partners, including Kayla Brennan from the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Lynda Dunbar and State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle). Members of the My Wellness team were also in attendance to mark the occasion and share excitement about the program’s continued growth.
During the event, Mayor Dunbar joined the festivities as CEO Dennis Weatherford expressed appreciation for her early support and for the City of Greencastle being the first to sign up for the program at the start of the year. His remarks highlighted the importance of community leadership in advancing local health initiatives.
Brooke Trissel, director of marketing and business development, shared her enthusiasm for the program’s impact, stating that My Wellness Putnam County is “an incredible way to support healthcare in the community.” She added that participation is growing quickly and the team is excited about the program’s future and long-term benefits for local employers and the employees.
A key feature of the My Wellness Putnam County initiative is the strong partnership between Putnam County Hospital and the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. Together, the two organizations are working to promote healthier workplaces while also supporting local employers and employees through practical, cost-saving benefits.
As part of this collaboration, Chamber members are offered an exclusive discounted membership rate to join the My Wellness program. This incentive was created to encourage greater participation among local businesses, making it easier and more affordable for employers to invest in the health and well-being of their workforce.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening both community health and the local economy. By reducing barriers to participation, the Chamber and Putnam County Hospital are helping more businesses access preventive health resources, wellness programming, and employee support tools designed to improve long-term health outcomes and workplace productivity.
Together, the Chamber and Putnam County Hospital continue to build a stronger, healthier and more resilient community through collaboration, innovation, and shared investment in local wellness.
The My Wellness team extends sincere thanks to all partners and community leaders who attended and continue to support the mission of improving health outcomes across Putnam County.
