IT’S A LITTLE BIT SLOWER IF YOU’RE HEADING TO ELKHORN THOUGH. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU TODAY? THE FOURTH ANNUAL EMPOWER YOUTH SUMMIT. MORE THAN 500 HIGH SCHOOLERS FROM ACROSS THE METRO GATHERED AT THE BELLEVUE CHRISTIAN CENTER. THEY WERE SPENT MAKING CONNECTIONS AND LEARNING ABOUT MENTAL WELLNESS AND SELF-CARE. THE GOAL TO GIVE STUDENTS THE TOOLS TO ADVOCATE FOR THEMSELVES AND OTHERS. IT ALSO INCLUDED GUEST SPEAKERS, COMMUNITY RESOURCE BOOTHS, AND A WELLNESS CORNER WITH THERAPY DOGS. TODAY’S EVENT IS REALLY ABOUT ACTIVITIES AND EDUCATION THAT ARE FOCUSED ON RESILIENCY, HOPE AND CONNECTION.

More than 500 high schoolers from across the metro gathered at the Bellevue Christian Center for the fourth annual Empower Youth Summit.The students had a day of hope-filled connections and education on mental wellness and self-care.The goal?
