SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Hanson Family Foundation has launched ‘For the Well-Being of God’s Creatures’, a Sioux Falls-based nonprofit that plans to open later this spring.
Following a 2024 needs assessment, the Foundation launched three programs in 2025:
The Animal Resource CenterPet Wellness Veterinary HospitalsShepherd’s Stable Equine Center and Sanctuary
“Our mission is to offer high-quality, compassionate, financially friendly veterinary services. We strive to ensure families have access, regardless of circumstances. Pet Wellness Veterinary Hospitals (PWVH) prioritize the well-being of animals and their families, while enhancing accessibility to expert care through its partnership with ARC,” said Heidi Dean, Director of Community Engagement and Development of the Hanson Family Foundation.
The new hospitals are currently under construction and are expected to open later this spring. Their Sioux Falls locations will be at 4600 E 59th St and inside the PetSmart on Louise Avenue.
