The Calexico Wellness Center, a non-profit medical clinic, is dedicated to inspiring hope and promoting health and well-being within our community. Their mission focuses on the needs of Calexico citizens and emphasizes a family-oriented approach to care, always prioritizing the patient and their family. As part of their commitment to community health, the Calexico Wellness Center held its annual Colon Cancer Awareness Health Fair. This important event took place on Monday, March 25th, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Health Fair aimed to raise awareness about colon cancer and provide valuable information and resources to the community. Attendees found information on prevention, early detection, and local support services. The Calexico Wellness Center also reached out to local groups to make this event even more special. They extended an invitation to our school’s talented folklorico dance group to perform at the fair. Their vibrant and beautiful performances brought joy and uplifted the spirits of our community’s seniors in attendance.
