With several members of his team having spent time away representing their countries this international break, Leeds United boss Daniel Farke gave an insight into his squad availability prior to the weekend’s Emirates FA Cup meeting with West Ham United.
The Whites travel to the London Stadium on Easter Sunday, looking to reach the semi-finals of the prestigious competition for the first time since 1987.
“Since today, everyone is back,” the boss told the media at Thorp Arch. “Obviously, for a handful of players, still just a recovery session, for example, for the Welsh players, for Jaka Bijol, Gabi Gudmundsson and so on.
“The first time that we will have them all back together in team training will be tomorrow and then we have two more days to prepare obviously for the West Ham game.
“Yes, a few minor issues and little knocks or whatever. The normal stuff, so like always after an international break, we will take some late decisions who is ready for the game and who will travel with us.
“Anton Stach was yesterday struggling with some hip problems. Was yesterday not in training, although he returned then a bit earlier because Germany played already on Monday. But today back in training so shouldn’t be a problem, I think.
“Dominic [Calvert-Lewin] had yesterday to end the training session earlier because he felt some problems with the hamstring. Same today, he was not involved in team training, so question mark behind his availability for the for the game on Sunday.
“But apart from this, at the moment, everyone should be back and should be also available for Sunday.”
