WYNCOTE, PA — A man was stabbed several times at a Planet Fitness in Cheltenham on Thursday afternoon, and the suspect has been arrested, police said.
The incident occurred at 12:33 p.m. on April 2 at the gym on 1000 South Easton Road in the Wyncote section.
The victim, a Planet Fitness employee, became involved in an altercation with the suspect, who had previously been banned from the gym, according to officials.
The man’s injuries are described as “life-threatening,” police said. He has been taken to a nearby trauma center.
The suspect has not yet been publicly identified. He was captured a short distance away from the Planet Fitness after the incident.
