The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced that a stabbing took place at approximately 12:33pm today at the Planet Fitness in Wyncote (1000 South Easton Road).
According to the announcement, a suspect was apprehended a short distance away by responding officers and will be facing multiple criminal charges. A male victim with multiple stab wounds has been transported to an area trauma center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
“Preliminary investigation determined that the victim is an employee of Planet Fitness and was stabbed during an altercation with a person who had previously been banned from the business,” police said in a post.
