VIDALIA, La. — Residents will have an opportunity to learn about health resources, receive screenings and hear from guest speakers during the 4th annual Healthy Heart Resources on the River Community Information Fair on April 11.
The event, sponsored by the Town of Vidalia, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center, located at 112 Front St. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
Guest speakers will present every 30 minutes throughout the morning. The event will also feature healthy snacks and giveaways for attendees.
A variety of community organizations and service providers are expected to share information and offer resources related to health and wellness. Topics and services highlighted during the event will include diabetic education, wound care information, foot care and complimentary foot checks, gut health, advanced medical testing, blood pressure checks, food and nutrition, and family practice information.
