When it’s still too cold to spend your paycheck on spring dresses and sandals, but no longer chilly enough for winter gear, how’s a shopaholic supposed to get their fix? With new beauty products, of course! I’m an Ulta girlie myself because there’s just something about the store that feels friendly and welcoming to regular gals who don’t live and breathe beauty. Also, they have killer sales.

The problem with stepping into an Ulta store with money to burn, though? Where to even begin?! Do you beeline it for the makeup or march straight towards the skin care? This month, I decided to do a bit of research before my shopping trip. Ivory Winters, an Ulta Beauty ambassador and Ulta Beauty Experience Manager in Destin, Fla., was sweet enough to share her top picks for April with me. They’re all already in my cart; go ahead and add them to yours too.

“For the sunnier months coming up, I highly suggest everyone get a great body SPF. I am really loving Kopari’s new Sunglaze sunscreen. It’s a non-greasy formula that protects while giving your skin a glassy glow. And it smells like coconuts! ” Winters shares.

“SPF for the face is also a non-negotiable for me,” Winters reveals. “The Sun Cover Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 by Peach & Lily is a must-have. It’s one of my favorite K-Beauty brands at Ulta! It has a satin soft finish that works beautifully under my makeup. And I love that the ingredients are good for my skin.”

“About-Face is one of the brands at Ulta Beauty that is truly innovative and has the pulse on what’s trending. I can’t wait to see the new Holographic Eye Sticks, launching soon! With festival season coming up, I know this is going to be such a popular product!” Winters declares.

Can’t wait? Snag the Holographic Eye Paint instead.

Winters says she’s surprised by how much she loves this product. “I’m usually a full-coverage person, but this tint blurs my skin and gives it the perfect amount of coverage for a more natural look. And it’s 92% skin care!” she says.

Winters says the ‘stain’ trend is here to stay and recommends this find for a natural, lived-in-looking flush. “The colors are gorgeous, they blend out beautifully and really do stay on the skin. These are perfect for a beach getaway or if you’re headed to a festival,” she says.

A bronzer version of the brand’s popular Cheek Thrills blush, “the new Cheek Thrills Bronze & Tone Duo includes both a cream and a powder. These products are so versatile and easy for anyone to wear,” says Winters.

Fresh find alert! “Noyz just launched their newest scent Rinse Cycle EDP and it’s available only at Ulta starting this week,” Winters shares. “I’m so excited to smell it because it has notes of guava, lemon, peach and sandalwood. Honestly, it sounds heavenly and is my perfect spring scent!”

According to Winters, Ulta is getting 13 new Korean hair brands starting in April. “As a Korean American, I can’t wait to try some of the products. I’m most excited to try Lador. I’ve seen the brand online, and now it’s going to be in stores at Ulta! So exciting!” she says.
