Finnish neurotechnology firm Audicin is partnering with US-based Allied Federal Solutions to bring its brainwave-based wellness technology to defense communities, aiming to improve readiness, recovery, and sleep in high-stress environments.

Audicin’s systems combine brainwave entrainment and music neuroscience to support stress regulation, focus, and recovery.

Its portfolio includes a mobile app and specialized sleep headband, as well as a software development kit for integration into existing platforms.

According to the company, the technologies blend parts of original music, engineered binaural frequencies, and immersive spatial sound that can be played into existing systems and wearable equipment, allowing biometric signals to trigger automated recovery sessions even without requiring new hardware.

Audicin highlighted that the approach is tailored for military settings, including restricted or phone-free environments, where it is testing an offline version of its proprietary sleep headband with preloaded recovery programs.

“The nervous system doesn’t switch on only when something goes wrong. It’s working all day, adapting to cognitive load, decisions, and stress signals,” said Laura Avonius, CEO at Audicin.

“Audicin is designed to run in the background of real life, helping regulate that load in the moment, not just after the fact.”

‘Promising Approach’

Audicin recently raised $1.9 million to support the continuous distribution of its products.

That round builds on earlier pre-seed capital from Oura Co-Founder Petteri Lahtela and Business Finland’s Deep Tech Accelerator, bringing total investments to approximately $3 million.

The company also reported $8 million worth of potential deals in progress, driven in part by defense demand, as armed forces increase focus on cognitive performance and resilience.

“Allied Federal Solutions is excited to partner with Audicin to bring innovative sleep technology solutions to the Defense and Veterans communities,” Allied Federal Solutions CEO Michael Alberi commented.

“Audicin’s platform represents a promising approach to improving sleep outcomes through scalable, technology-driven solutions that can support both clinical research and broader wellness initiatives across the military and VA.”
