Every year, Northborough-Southborough Public Schools celebrate Wellness Week, encouraging students to improve their health/wellness. This year, they’re making a bigger public push to engage the entire community.

There are special events and challenges. Plus, the Wellness Week promotions includes a prize drawing to incentivize participation.

Wellness WheelEveryone who completes at least one activity for each of eight Wellness categories or wedges of “the wellness wheel” can enter the drawing for prizes that include a new bike. The wedge categories are: Learn, Eat Healthy, Be Active, Go Outside, Relax, Sleep, Create, and Socialize.

Wellness CalendarThe contest entry form lists examples for each of the categories. And the schools have worked with other groups to organize a series of relevant events and opportunities throughout the week. Only one requires pre-registration with a fee — the CPR Certification Course on Monday evening. The others are on-going or drop-in and free to all.
