Leading dietary supplement contract manufacturer Vitaquest International LLC is bringing on a new chief executive officer.
In an April 6 press release, the West Caldwell-based company welcomed Tim Condron as successor to Patrick Brueggman. According to Vitaquest, the outgoing CEO will serve in an advisory capacity before retiring following eight years with the company.
Prior to his April 1 start at Vitaquest, Condron was president and chief operating officer at over-the-counter pharmaceutical, vitamin and supplement maker BestCo Inc.
During his 12-year tenure, Condron led a significant strategic transformation. Under his leadership, BestCo evolved from food-standard confectionery manufacturing to full compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration drug and supplement regulations.
At the same time, he expanded commercial relationships across major consumer packaged goods brands and leading retailers in the food, drug, mass and club channels, according to Vitaquest.
In addition to his more than two decades of executive leadership in regulated manufacturing environments, Condron is trained as a chemical engineer with additional qualifications in management accounting. He is also a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Vitaquest said.
Ready to grow
Founded in 1977 by the Frankel family, Vitaquest is a contract manufacturer and development partner for dietary supplements and nutraceuticals. The now CK Life Sciences International subsidiary helps brands with product formulation, manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment of vitamins, probiotics, powders, capsules, tablets and other supplement products.
Along with producing a wide range of formats, such as capsules, tablets, powders and specialty supplements, Vitaquest supports ingredient sourcing, quality testing and full product development from concept to market.

Vitaquest has created more than 4,000 custom formulas for over 500 brands in nearly 50 countries across retail, direct response and other commercial channels.
Earlier this year, the company opened a state-of-the-art probiotics manufacturing site in Parsippany. The property aims to increase capacity and capabilities to meet growing category demand.
Under Condron’s leadership, the company will continue to invest in capabilities, talent, and systems that enhance speed, quality and collaboration across its operations, according to Vitaquest.
