Various Brands of Iron-Containing Dietary Supplements
Thousands of brands of dietary supplements that contain iron are being recalled because they are in violation of standard child-resistant packaging.
What we know:
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued the recall for about 356,140 units of iron-containing dietary supplements because the packaging they were sold in did not have a child-resistant seal, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.
The packaging poses a risk for young children of serious injury or death from poisoning if they are ingested.
The recall includes the following brands:
Arey, Not Today, Grey (180ct)Bari Life Complete Bariatric Vitamin Formula, Watermelon (60srvs)Bird&Be (various products)Bird&Be Female Fertility Power Prenatal + CoQ10 Pack (30pkts)Biote Nutraceutical Iron+ (30ct.)Dr. Fuhrman Gentle Prenatal Multivitamin + D3 (120ct)Dr. Fuhrman Pixie Vites Children’s Multivitamin (120ct)NuLife Advanced Bariatrics Multivitamin Chewable Tablets (60ct)HMR Multi Daily Vitamin and Mineral Supplement (60ct)Bariatric Pal Ultra Multi Bariatric Multivitamin (90ct)Noevir Inner Care Premium BioEssentials (120ct)Zenbean Kids Café Instant Coffee+ Nutrition Original Latte (30srvs)Sakara The Foundation (30pkts)Sakara The Foundation: Prenatal (30pkts)
The products were sold at Credo Beauty, Erewhon, Health, Nutrition World, The Vitamin Shoppe, Fullscript, Ulta Beauty, and doctors’ offices. They were also sold online on the brands’ websites and through Amazon. They were available for purchase between April 2023 and February 2026 and cost between $13 and $130.
What’s next:
The CPSC says consumers should keep the supplements out of the reach of children and contact Vitaquest International on how to obtain a free child-resistant replacement cap or storage pouch to continue to use the products.
