Communications Commission Director Audrey Curtler added to Hevrin’s reminder that everyone should participate in the senate election.

Equity in Student Matters (ESM) Senate Director Amber Keller informed everyone that if they had an interest in becoming the ESM director or intern for the 70th session of senate, they should reach out to either her or Senate Director Piper Campbell.

Finance Commission Director Isabelle Shepard reminded the group of the weekly Finance Commission meetings at 5 p.m. on Thursdays in Council Oak in Davies 260.

Intergovernmental Affairs Commission Director Ally Etzler said she is continuing to work on the spring block party and reminded the group that if they are interested in taking over her role next year, they should attend the meeting on Wednesday, April 15 in the Pine Conference Room in Davies 220K.

Etzler also reinforced how important it is for everyone to vote in the senate election.

Student Health and Wellness Commission Director Rachel Schulte informed the group that she would be bringing the resolution passed the previous week to the floor that night.

Student Organization Commission (SOC) Director Tia Beirne informed the group that SOC wouldn’t be meeting, but in its place there would be a funding workshop. She said that treasurers for organizations who received an allocation for the upcoming year were recommended to attend.

Following updates from the rest of the senate directors and special updates from the mascot coordinator, senate moved on to old business and voted on one bill.

Beirne and Shepard reintroduced Bill 69-B-15, which discussed the revised allocation of the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) funds. The bill passed 25-0-2.

The group moved on to new business. Schulte introduced bill 69-R-12, which would result in a health and wellness vending machine installed on campus and stocked with health products such as Advil, hydrocortisone cream, Benadryl, Narcan, Clearblue pregnancy tests and Plan B emergency contraception.

“Our goal is to offer students convenient, on-campus access to these essential items and to reduce the barriers students face in obtaining products that benefit their health and wellness,” Schulte said.

The bill passed 24-1-2.

The final bill was introduced by Hevrin. Bill 69-B-16 would change the bylaws to allow coordinators to have full voting power. The bill passed 25-0-2.

After a few brief announcements, the meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m. Senate will reconvene at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 20.
