Rihanna descended upon Mumbai in a blaze of brilliance, gracing the city for the unveiling of Fenty Beauty Ki Haveli—a singularly immersive retail concept conceived exclusively for India on Saturday, marking the brand’s official entry into the Indian market in partnership with Reliance Retail. Open to the public until May 4 at Phoenix Palladium Mumbai, this extraordinary pop-up unfolds as a kaleidoscopic reverie of culture, colour, and design, reinterpreting the expansive Fenty universe through an exquisitely Indian lens.

For the occasion, Rihanna radiated in a custom Mugler creation by Miguel Castro Freitas from the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection: a chartreuse fluid crepe cascade dress seamlessly fused with a sculptural leather mermaid skirt. The silhouette, both commanding and fluid, was elevated by a constellation of Indian high jewellery. She adorned herself with uncut diamond-encrusted statement haathphool by Manish Malhotra—an arresting piece that married heritage craftsmanship with modern opulence—while Sabyasachi High Jewellery bracelets and rings lent further gravitas to the ensemble. Completing the look, she stepped into pointed-toe heels rendered in the same vivid hue, creating a tonal harmony that felt both deliberate and dazzling.

As the evening transitioned into celebration, Rihanna unveiled a second sartorial moment for the afterparty—this time, a striking Alaïa dress featuring snakeskin detailing along the bodice. The sleek black creation, drawn from Peter Mulier’s final collection for the house, exuded a quiet ferocity. She reintroduced the Manish Malhotra haathphool, allowing its intricate brilliance to punctuate the look once more, and paired the ensemble with elegant open-toe heels, striking a perfect balance between sensuality and refinement.
Brought to life in collaboration with beauty retailers Tira and Sephora, Fenty Beauty Ki Haveli transcends the conventional retail format, reimagining it as a multi-sensory cultural experience. Drawing deeply from the architectural legacy of India’s historic havelis, the space pays homage to traditional design sensibilities and artisanal craftsmanship, while weaving in a contemporary narrative that feels unmistakably Fenty.

A sequence of thoughtfully curated environments invites guests to embark on a journey that extends far beyond the expected parameters of beauty retail. The experience begins in the Powder Room, where Fenty Beauty’s expansive spectrum of 50 foundation shades is unveiled within a setting that evokes regal splendour. Arched display elements—reminiscent of haveli architecture yet infused with a modern sensibility—frame the products, while beauty experts guide each visitor towards their perfect shade match. Upon completing this personalised ritual, guests are invited to pause and indulge in a complimentary cup of chai at the Chai Bar, an understated yet evocative nod to Indian hospitality.

From here, the narrative flows seamlessly into the Drawing Room, where the focus shifts to the artistry of eye beauty. Guests are enveloped in a world dedicated to enhancement and expression, discovering Fenty Beauty’s latest Indian launch, Fine Linez, alongside the cult-favourite Hella Thicc Mascara. For those already in possession of a Fenty Beauty tote, an added layer of personalisation awaits: a complimentary block-printing service that transforms a familiar accessory into a bespoke keepsake, infusing the retail journey with a tactile, artistic flourish.

The experience unfolds further into The Gathering Room, an expansive lounge inspired by the vibrant courtyards of traditional Indian havelis. Here, Fenty Beauty’s Gloss Bomb Stix take centre stage, presenting a spectrum of high-shine lip colours designed with inclusivity at their core. Alongside them sit complementary essentials—Fenty Skin’s Fenty Treatz Lip Oil and Fenty Beauty’s Trace’d Out lip liner—creating a comprehensive exploration of lip artistry. The room itself is punctuated by larger-than-life product installations, amplifying the sense of immersion. In keeping with the brand’s ethos of indulgence, guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary treat from the Fenty Treatz Kulfi Cart, where flavours inspired by the Fenty Treatz Lip Oil offer a sensorial extension of the lip experience.

As the journey approaches its culmination, visitors arrive at the Jewellery Room—a space steeped in opulence and inspired by the intricate jaali detailing of historic palatial architecture. Here, the spotlight turns to luminosity, embodied by Beauty’s Diamond Bomb, a singular diamond-dusted highlighter that glides onto the skin like a three-dimensional, glittering veil, imparting an unmistakable, show-stopping radiance across face and body. To amplify this lit-from-within glow, guests can layer Fenty Skin’s Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream and Butta Drop Hydrating Body Milk, enveloping the skin in hydration and sheen.
The experience continues to blur the boundaries between beauty and personal expression. Guests who own a Fenty Beauty hand mirror are offered the opportunity to have it personalised, further embedding individuality into their purchase. Elevating the allure even further, the brand introduces an exclusive opportunity: ten fortunate customers who make a purchase at the Fenty Beauty Ki Haveli pop-up will receive a Fenty Beauty make-up pouch personally autographed by Rihanna. These select winners will be contacted by Tira and Sephora following the conclusion of the pop-up.
Complementing the immersive experience is a suite of exclusive rewards and limited-time offerings. Among them, specially curated bundles featuring Rihanna’s favourites—Gloss Bomb Stix, Diamond Bomb, Invisimatte, and Match Stix—are available at ₹11,640, presenting a compelling 20 per cent saving.
