Yerbana’s beloved Yoga in the Park series is back this May for its sixth season, bringing 18 weeks of free yoga classes to Seattle’s parks. There will also be DJs, raffles and giveaways, and more.
If you’ve never been, picture this: up to 1,500 people gathering on a summer evening at Gas Works Park, rolling out their mats as the sun dips lower over Lake Union. Each Thursday session blends yoga led by instructors from Seattle’s best studios with live music, sound baths, and local wellness vendors, creating a laid-back, feel-good atmosphere focused on connection.
This year’s series runs rain or shine from May 21 through September 18, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, mostly at Gas Works—but there’s also a fun secondary location for a few of the evenings. Three special “Flow in the Forest” nights will pop up at Woodland Park on July 23, August 6, and August 27. Think the same signature flow, but surrounded by trees instead of skyline views.
One of the best parts? It’s designed to be accessible. The organizers emphasize wellness for everyone, so sessions are free or donation-based, with a suggested $15 contribution. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just curious to try something new, all levels are welcome.
Bring your own yoga mat, as well as plenty of water and anything else you typically like to have on-hand for a yoga session. As for parking, there is an on-site parking lot available at both parks, as well as street parking.
