Melissa Campbell – a revered wellness instructor, who has been beating a healthy and wholesome lifestyle drum in Buffalo for well over a decade or two – is now embarking upon a new holistic venture. She will be introducing Taoist yoga, Qigong, and Inner Wellness workshops at the Green Pastures Still Waters Wellness Center in North Buffalo.
Green Pastures Still Waters Wellness Center (Laura Zimberg, LMT) offers an infrared sauna, massage therapy, full body skincare, fitness classes, Reiki healing, sauna sessions, etc.
Campbell is now embarking upon a comprehensive wellness journey that will encompass many of the ideals and principles that she has acquired over the years. Following advanced training in Thailand with Grand Master Mantak Chia and Senior Instructor Walter Kellenberger at Tao Garden in Chiang Mai, she walked away as a certified Universal Healing Tao Associate Instructor. Campbell is now prepared to bring these coveted ideologies and philosophies to Buffalo.
Campbell’s practices support mobility, strength, emotional balance, and overall vitality, rather than isolating fitness or flexibility alone. The approach works on the whole person, head to toe, inside and out.
“I’ve designed these practices to gain a great benefit quickly and easily,” said Campbell, who continues to draw spiritual inspiration from her deep lineage in Taoist practices, Dao Yin Lung Shen and Vinyasa yoga. “They are simple, but they create real changes in how people feel, move and function. We build a foundation of energy work, purify and reset the systems, then develop endurance that brings vitality and longevity to our life.”
According to the healing instructor, her newest offerings are Tao Flow Yoga, Functional Energetics, Awakening the Inner Smile, and Vibrational Reset. These healing practices support the whole body including the digestive, endocrine, immune, lymphatic, and nervous systems, the vital organs, as well as muscle building and body toning.
Coming this summer: In addition to the studio classes, Melissa will offer free public classes in Prospect Park (weather permitting) from June through August, with two sessions on Monday evenings and two on Wednesday afternoons. These community sessions are open to everyone. Donations are gladly accepted to help keep the practices accessible.
Weekly classes at the North Buffalo studio will start in May.
