Cancer Wellness Center hosts successful NEPA’s Annual Walk – Wilkes-Barre Citizens' Voice

The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA’s 30th Annual Walk marked a record-breaking milestone, raising more than $100,000, the largest fundraising total in the history of the walk. Funds will directly support the Center’s free wellness programs for cancer patients and caregivers throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The organization also received a $200,000 award made possible through the Pennsylvania Neighborhood Assistance Program, a tax credit initiative provided by Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services, in support of new nutritional initiatives. Through a partnership with the Food Dignity Movement, the Cancer Wellness Center will help provide nutritious meals to clients undergoing cancer treatment by connecting with local farmers and expanding nutritional education opportunities.

The Cancer Wellness Center continues to provide comfort, community, and care at no cost to those facing cancer and the loved ones supporting them.
