Memorial Hospital invites community members to explore delicious, gluten-sensitive options at an upcoming Gluten-Sensitive Class on Thursday, June 18, at 10:30 a.m. in the Health & Wellness Teaching Kitchen.
Led by Memorial Hospital dietitian Jennifer Soucie, this interactive class offers participants a unique opportunity to “try before they buy” a variety of gluten-free foods, including pasta, bread, crackers and pizza. Attendees will also prepare simple recipes designed to complement gluten-free products and support a healthy lifestyle. Recipes will be provided for participants to take home and enjoy.
This hands-on experience is ideal for individuals with gluten sensitivities, those exploring dietary changes, or anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of nutritious food options in a supportive, welcoming environment.
The class will take place at Memorial Hospital’s Health & Wellness Teaching Kitchen, located at 1454 N. Co. Rd. 2050, Carthage. The cost to attend is $15 per person.
Please note: This is a gluten-sensitive class. While all recipes are made without gluten-containing ingredients, the shared teaching kitchen environment cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact.
Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged. To learn more or reserve your spot, visit mhtlc.org or call 217-357-6540.
