Elevated Fitness is bringing a more personal approach to health and wellness in Prescott Valley. In this conversation, Lela Rodger shares how her new fitness studio focuses on small classes, individualized attention, and helping clients build confidence both inside and outside the gym.

Located on Florentine Road next to Tropical Smoothie, Elevated Fitness officially opened its doors in late March. Rodger says the goal was to create a welcoming space where clients feel supported, understood, and comfortable regardless of their fitness level.

Unlike larger gyms where members can feel lost in the crowd, Rodger keeps her classes intentionally small, capping them at eight people. That allows her to focus on form, modifications, injuries, and individual progress while building stronger relationships with clients.

Inside the Conversation

Why Elevated Fitness focuses on small class sizes
How personal training begins with consultations and goal setting
Why confidence is one of the biggest fitness transformations
How classes are customized for different fitness levels
Why nutrition plays a major role in long-term results

Rodger says every personal training client begins with a consultation that covers health history, goals, lifestyle, past fitness experiences, and movement assessments. From there, she creates a plan that can include measurements, nutrition guidance, progress tracking, and workouts tailored to each client’s needs. She says this individualized approach helps clients understand that progress is not always reflected on the scale but can also be seen in strength gains, changes in body composition, improved confidence, and how they feel in everyday life.

Elevated Fitness offers a mix of strength training and hybrid style classes throughout the week, including compound lifts, circuit training, endurance work, conditioning, and modified workouts for beginners or those recovering from injuries. Rodger says her passion for fitness began years ago, when she regularly attended the gym with her daughter, eventually leading others to encourage her to become a trainer. After seven years in personal training, she opened her own studio to grow her community and help more people feel confident in a gym setting.

One of the most rewarding parts of the job, she says, is watching that confidence carry beyond workouts. Whether adults are learning to feel comfortable picking up dumbbells in a larger gym or young athletes are becoming more self-assured in sports, Rodger says fitness often changes much more than physical strength. Elevated Fitness currently offers personal training, class packages, and founder rate memberships while space remains available.

Elevated Fitness is located at 7850 East Florentine Road, Suite B, in Prescott Valley and can be found online at elevatedfitnesspv.com or reached at 928-288-2062.
