As of June 1, the Kansas Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program restarted for the season, providing coupons to help low-income seniors purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and more at local farmers markets.
Seniors 60 and older who meet eligibility requirements can sign up, with benefits distributed individually on a first-come, first-serve basis. The will be available to eligible applicants from now through Sept. 30 (or until gone). Applications are available at the Derby Senior Center (1315 S. Rock Rd.).
