A recent study shows a relationship between low vitamin D levels and COVID-19 related deaths in 20 European countries. Older people’s vitamin D levels are apparently lower in Southern Europe, therefore they are more susceptible to the virus. In this video, we elaborate on what the researchers found. We also explain some functions of vitamin D in the body, the recommended daily allowance thereof (US RDA), as well as some food sources of vitamin D. Enjoy the video, and please be safe!
