COVID-19 Corona Virus epidemic has affected more than 100 countries. Around 1,13,000 people are under observation and around 4000 deaths have been reported.
There is no vaccine for preventing this virus as of now.
One thing that we can do to enable our body to avoid getting infected by COVID-19 is building a strong immune system.
How to build a strong immune system against COVID-19?
👉 Most importantly, wash your hands
Wash your hands properly with soap and water for at least 40 seconds. In the case of soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer with more than 70% of alcohol content can be used.
👉 Avoid stress and overthinking
Being stressed out and worried makes you more vulnerable to infections. This is because of the suppressive action of the stress hormones on your immune system.
👉 Get at least 7 to 9 hours of sleep
T cells(lymphocytes) play an important role in strengthening your immune system. Researchers say adequate sleep is required for the T cells to function properly.
👉 Exercise regularly
Being fit helps you build a strong immune system. Moderate exercise is good for your immune system. But, vigorous workouts are not recommended as it can suppress your immune system at least for some days.
👉 Intake more Vitamin C, B6 and E
Vitamin C, B6, and E intake are recommended for increasing your immune function. You will get these vitamins at sufficient levels by including lots of fruits and vegetables in your diet.
👉 Eat whole foods instead of processed supplements
It is always recommended to eat vitamin-rich whole foods rather than intaking supplements. This is because your body absorbs nutrients efficiently from whole foods than from processed supplements.
