Patanjali’s Coronil ayurvedic drug, that Yoga guru Ramdev earlier touted as cure for Covid, has been cleared for sale as an immunity booster. The Ayush ministry on Wednesday clarified that it has approved the drug as an ayurvedic immunity booster, and not as a cure or treatment for coronavirus. Last week, the ministry had directed Ramdev’s firm to immediately stop advertising the product until its “cure for Covid” claim was verified. Ramved also made a u-turn on the claim later.
