COVID-19 medical emergency is spreading across the world, with nearly 11 million cases worldwide, and more than 500 thousand deaths and counting. Dr. Fauci and other optimistic experts believe we will have a vaccine by the end of 2020. Others caution that the timeline may be unrealistic.
Very much like the Spanish flu, Social distancing is considered the most effective preventive measure against the spread of this pandemic.
Now, there are more than 600 unique compounds being rigorously tested across nations, for vaccines, anti-virals, or antibodies, etc. against the coronavirus.
Coronavirus early signs and symptoms.
It is mainly seen to cause upper respiratory and breathing issues, fever, cough, sore throat, and headache.
Coronavirus Transmission
The virus is found to transfer through fluids, air, or surfaces to a healthy individual who encounters them. It is therefore considered highly contagious. So, like any other viral infection, social distancing along with sanitizing hands, coughing in the elbow, washing hands constantly, works really well in this case too.
There are currently 1676 clinical trials ongoing for Covid-19 drugs and vaccines specifically.
