According to results published in the Lancet medical Journal, The ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine developed by Oxford University appears to be safe.
During trials, it triggered antibody and T-Cell immune responses. It’s made from genetically engineered virus which causes common cold in Chimpanzees. It has been heavily modified so that it can cause infection in people.
Scientists made it look like Coronavirus so that immune system can learn how to attack it.
However, much work to be done before experts can confirm if it will help manage the Coronavirus pandemic. But, These early results hold promise.
