I’m not making any definitive statements about ecdysterone (though I don’t see any compelling reason to think it’s worth the money), but I find it funny how a bodybuilding supplement can go from being “the next big breakthrough”…⁣ to hardly anyone really talking about it or promoting it seriously for well over a decade…⁣ and then right back to being “the next big breakthrough” again.⁣ I get that ecdysterone supplements didn’t literally disappear, but this latest round of fitness influencer social media marketing is the first time I’ve heard it really being discussed and hyped up in a very long time.⁣ I guarantee that a good chunk of these influencers have no idea that this so-called muscle building supplement is by no means “new” and that it was being heavily advertised in Flex magazine and on Bodybuilding.com when they were still in diapers.⁣ The one argument I’ve seen mentioned (and it’s a fair question) is that maybe the ecdysterone products back then just weren’t potent enough versus what is available now.⁣ I tried to do some digging and found various products from back then – some were complete garbage and others were decent.⁣ Though I do remember guys on the bodybuilding forums back in the day running cycles of this stuff at huge doses and the general consensus from what I recall is that it didn’t do much of anything in terms of muscle growth. From what I’ve seen recently it’s mostly the guys who are selling it that are reporting how amazingly well it works, or obvious beginners who are clearly just placebo’d out of their minds. (“I’ve been taking it for two weeks and have seen definite gains!”)⁣ Anything is possible, but if ecdysterone was really so great then chances are that it would have stuck around over the years.⁣ I could be wrong, but I predict this is just another marketing cycle and that ecdysterone (along with turkesterone) will die off within a few years, and that in the late 2020’s people will be posting memes about it.⁣

here’s a fun fact about actisterone that a lot of people don’t know now i’m sure you’ve seen this stuff being promoted all over social media like it’s the next big thing but here’s what this [ __ ] is nothing new when i first got into lifting in the early 2000s holy [ __ ] i’m getting old ecdysterone was being advertised all over the muscle magazines and hyped up in the exact same way as it is now then what happened it disappeared off the [ __ ] map and no one talked about it for years now i’m not making any definite statements about its effects but if distron was really as amazing as all these guys with their 10 off discount codes are saying don’t you think it probably would have stuck around or could it just be that supplement companies realized enough time has passed now to where the newer generation of lifters have never heard of it and so they can dig it back out of the supplement graveyard for another cycle of marketing before it fades back into obscurity once again i don’t know but it’s just something to consider subscribe for more no bs fitness tips
