Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin. If you haven’t already guessed by the color of my sweatshirt, today we are talking vitamin C. All that lemon orange goodness that’s finding its way into just about everyone’s skincare routine. I think just about everyone out there has a vitamin C serum somewhere in their skincare collection. But is it the right one for you? Well, in today’s video, we’re going to help explore that and unpack it in a little bit more detail. There are so many different vitamin C’s out there. It can be really difficult to know which are the ones that you should be incorporating into your skincare routine for extra benefit and the ones that you should be avoiding. Well, today we’re focusing down on the positives. What I think are the very best vitamin C serums on the market. My top eight. I’ve got something here for everyone. No matter your skin type, your budget, and of course, your individual skin concern, there’s a vitamin C serum here for you. So, sit back, relax, let’s talk the best vitamin C’s 2025. Now, in today’s video, I’m going to share with you my personal favorite vitamin C serums, the ones that have been tried, tested, and delivered. But if your favorite isn’t amongst this collection, reach down and let me know down in the comments section below. I love to read your recommendations cuz they really do shape the products I try out and review here on the channel in the future, whether any of these are your favorites or not. If you enjoy this style of content, which as always is sponsorship and paid partnership free, make sure to let me know by reaching down and giving the video a big thumbs up and a like. This really does support me as an independent content creator because the more likes the video gets, the more widely YouTube will distribute on its platform. So, just from the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you that takes that small moment out of your day to engage with the content that I create. Honestly, it means the world to me. Now, without further ado, let’s cut that waffle and delve straight on in. So, in front of me here, I have eight phenomenal vitamin C’s that I think each one in their own right is something truly special. But I really would encourage everybody instead of just rushing out and buying the first vitamin C that you find or the cheapest one that’s on the shelf. Think strategically. Different vitamin C’s offer different additional activives within them, different formulations. And depending on your skin type and what goals you’re trying to achieve, you want to choose a vitamin C that really aligns to that. I’m going to break it apart in today’s video so you can genuinely decide which is the right one for your individual skin situation. There is no right or wrong here. It’s about matching the product we choose to individual outcomes that we need. And hopefully I’ll be able to make that easy for you. I’ve listed all the products down in the description box below with links and where there’s a sale going on cuz we all know that November is sale season in the skincare community. where I’ve been able to find a sale or a discount. Again, I’ve listed it down below because what’s not to love about saving some of our hardearned coin and quite a few of these products are actually so much more affordable currently, which is why I personally have stocked up. Now, in no particular order, because like I say, different ones will suit different people. Let’s first declare the best drugstore vitamin C serum of 2025. That product that you can walk into your favorite drugstore or pharmacy and pick off the shelf. And this is going to the Garnier Vitamin C 10% Nighttime Serum. Now, be careful here because they do two versions. They do a day and a night. The day is utter garbage. The night is actually amazing. I don’t know how a brand can do this. You know, this same formulation team can create two wildly different products when it comes to quality. The daytime one, honestly, not worth even a pound. I wouldn’t pay for that product. But the nighttime one’s really great. This actually contains a 10% pure form vitamin C. They sell millions of units of this, so you know it’s fresh because it has that turnover going. People are always buying it. They’re manufacturing it, so you know that it’s going to be fresh. And I just love the fact that they’ve paired the 10% vitamin C with some other great brightening ingredients. If you’re somebody that’s using your vitamin C to brighten the skin, fade hyperpigmentation, and you want to do it on a budget, I think this Garnier nighttime one is really amazing. You don’t have to use it on a night time. I personally would use this on a morning. I again I I find it very confusing why they’ve decided to add that to the mix cuz there’s nothing in here that suggests it needs to be used on a nighttime as part of an evening routine. Use it on the morning, use it on an evening. It’s up to you. But this is a really great vitamin C that you can walk into your Boots, your Superdrug, your Costco, wherever it is you’re shopping your skincare, and you’ll probably be able to find it on the store shelves, pick it up, and slot it straight into your skincare routine. Garnier clearly can do it right with this product. So, I don’t know why they choose not to with their other ones. This This is a really good product. Up next, I’m going to talk about the freshest vitamin C. A lot of people prize freshness over anything else when it comes to vitamin C’s. And I think this is probably a good strategy because vitamin C is inherently unstable. It oxidizes really quickly. And whilst oxidized vitamin C doesn’t damage the skin, it also doesn’t deliver a whole lot of benefits. So really, you want a product that’s either super stabilized, so it doesn’t oxidize, or super fresh, so you don’t have to worry about it. Either of those is fine. And if freshness is your goal, then the one and only you should be reaching for is this. This is the Geek and Gorgeous Sea Glow Serum. Super affordable, packed full of additional antioxidants alongside that vitamin C, and made fresh in batches every single week. So, if you order direct from Geek and Gorgeous, you know that when this product reaches you, it hasn’t been lingering in a warehouse shelf, Gary and Dust, it’s fresh, fresh, fresh. And that’s really important. I think this is a great option for people that maybe don’t get through their vitamin C serums very quickly. If you’re somebody that uses it a couple of times a week rather than daily, you might want to go for this because it’ll have a longer shelf life because of that freshness. It’s also great for, like I say, people that just want to prioritize freshness to get maximum results. This is a 15% pure form vitamin C, so it’ll really work to budge hyperpigmentation, boost collagen and elastin, smooth out the skin, just bring that radiance and luminosity. It’s been one of my favorites for the past four or five years, and I don’t see it going anywhere in soon because it’s just one of those holy grails that’s simple yet super effective because of that freshness. Now, those two products I’ve just mentioned are super affordable. I think they would fit most budgets and would suit almost all skin types too. Great all rounders. But if you’re looking for something a little bit more specific, maybe a little bit more targeted, I’ve got a couple of recommendations for you. Now, now up next, let’s talk about this. This is the medicate C tetra advanced. Now, this bar none is the best glow enhancing vitamin C you will ever find. So, if you’re using your vitamin C primarily to boost radiance and luminosity, stop right now. Look no further. buy this. This is This is like a glow up in a bottle. As you can see by the state of the bottle, I have used this. I have loved it and I bought it time and time again. I think I’m on bottle maybe six now. This one’s completely run out, but I’m waiting for the medicate Black Friday sale to launch in like 5 days time. Then I’m going to strike and I’m going to buy a couple of these cuz my skin drinks it up. I tend to use a pure form vitamin C on a morning. Then on an evening, I’ll use a vitamin C derivative because I find it just allows me to use vitamin C twice a day without getting sensitivity. This is a vitamin C derivative. Superb. If you have very sensitive skin, this won’t irritate it. If you’re looking for that glow up, this is the one for you. And I think this is the first time I’ve reached for a product and realized, yes, vitamin C derivatives can genuinely rival pure form vitamin C if it’s done right. If a brand knows how to formulate and medicate really do, then you can get gentle but hyper effective vitamin C in derivative form. And this this is like a glow in a bottle. I love it. It isn’t the cheapest out there, but we know that medicate sale is round the corner starting on Black Friday and they’re going to be doing 25% off. So that’s definitely when I’m going to strike and stock up while I can. So if you’re a fan of Korean skincare, I definitely am. I love me some Korean skincare. Um then my favorite Korean skincare vitamin C is this one. This is the VT Vita Real Shot. Now they do a 100 and a 300 version. The 300 is slightly more potent in terms of the spicules that are in here. So spicules are little they’re almost like micro darts that push the product deeper into the skin so you get better results. You get quicker results too. And this works in a flash. Now those spicules I don’t think work on sensitive skin. If you’re somebody that has quite a resilient skin type that maybe you’re not getting the results you want to see from other vitamin C’s, give this a go. Those spicules will definitely help the product to penetrate and get some extra results. You’ve got glutathione in here which is going to brighten the skin and fade hyperpigmentation. And you’ve just got an all round amazing formulation. I wouldn’t necessarily start your vitamin C journey on this one. But if you’re somebody that wants to kick it up a notch, you’ve tried a lot of other vitamin C’s and they’ve not worked for you or not giving you the results you want, maybe give this a go. The 100 is more gentle than the 300. So, choose one that meets your individual skin sensitivity levels. For me, I can just about get away with the 300, but for a lot of people, they might want to start with the 100, see how it goes, and work up. You will get great results. Wonderful for brightening the skin, fantastic for fading hyperpigmentation, and I think is the go-to vitamin C for those people who have tried others and maybe been underwhelmed. Give this a go cuz I promise you it will deliver. Now, we’ve got a couple more products here that I want to talk about. Um, but a couple that are more specific, so and a little bit more tailored. Let’s talk this. This is the PSA Skin Light Up Mask. This is the best vitamin C for people that don’t want to use vitamin C every day. Some people do, some people don’t. And it’s entirely up to you and your skin. Listen to what your skin’s saying. Some people use vitamin C every day and find that they get a little sensitivity. They get irritation. It just is a little bit too much for them and they’d rather use it a couple of times a week. That’s absolutely fine. You’ll still get great results. Other people like to use a vitamin C daily and be consistent with it. Whatever works for you. But if you’re one of those couple of times a week kind of people, get this because this is like a flash facial. You put this on for 10 minutes twice a week and you will be glowing to the gods. You will you’ll be blinding people with your radiance because it is that effective. It’s beautifully formulated with vitamin C. You’ve got your glutathione. You’ve got your other brightening ingredients in here. It’s a powerhouse that honestly I think gives you the same results as using a vitamin C every day, but just using it twice a week. It’s that good. So, for people that want to almost see their vitamin C as like a treat, as a treatment rather than a daily serum, this this is it. It’s just phenomenal. At the moment, for the whole month of November, to coincide with like Black Friday, PSA are doing buy one get one free. So, if you put two of these in your basket, when you get to check out, you’ll only actually pay for one. That’s the best deal that I’ve come across. It’s the same for all of their skincare line. Actually, I’ve linked the link to how to access that down in the description box. But yeah, I put a couple of these on order because I am somebody that whilst I will generally use a vitamin C um every day, I sometimes take a bit of a break and I’ll use this on those break periods because a couple of times a week, this just keeps my glow game where I want it to be, maintains the results and is great for hyperpigmentation. Absolutely love it. Now, I mentioned medicate earlier when we talked about that C tetra advanced. I’m going to talk about another one of their vitamin C. Now, Medicate have about I think they’ve got seven or eight vitamin C’s. It can seem a little confusing, but don’t worry. The two that you really want to know about are these two, Cra Advanced and the Super Curu. These are these are the two that you really need to know about. This is a vitamin C derivative. As I mentioned earlier, this is pure form vitamin C. This is the best dupe vitamin C you’re going to find for the skin C furic. Skin suitical C furic £150 I think now. Ridiculous. often comes oxidized as well. Utter garbage. This basically a like for light formulation but less than half the price. So if you’re a fan of skin suiticals but your wallet isn’t, switch to this. You’ve got your pure form vitamin C which I love. You’ve got your um beautiful antioxidants like furillic acid alongside it. Furillic acid actually stabilizes vitamin C so it has a longer shelf life with it present. It also helps to protect the skin from free radical damage and has some brightening qualities too. You’ve also got some other brightening ingredients in here. So, I think it’s like skin suitical see-through like taken up a notch, improved further at a fraction of the cost. For me, that’s ding ding ding win all the way. And this is just a wonderful vitamin C, particularly for your pure form fan girls out there. If you like your vitamin C in ascorbic or eloscorbic acid form, this is the most advanced serum at the most affordable price, which I absolutely adore. And for me, time and time again, this this is a real real treat. Now, we’re into what I’m going to call the top three. These are three which I really think are something genuinely super special, very different, and very innovative. And we’re going to come on to why that’s the case for each and every one of them. So, in third, we’re going to talk about the Neod ethylated ascorbic acid network. 30% ethylated ascorbic acid. Now, there is a bit of a debate in skincare as to whether ethylated ascorbic acid classes as pure form or derivative form. People go on endlessly about this. Who cares? At the end of the day, it’s the results that actually matter. And this delivers such a great formula. It’s a sky-high concentration. So, I will say this isn’t for beginners. This isn’t for people with sensitive skin or sensitivity to vitamin C. This is for the vitamin the hardcore vitamin C crew. This will fade your hyperpigmentation. It will boost your collagen and elastin. It will even out your skin tone. It will get your glow game on point. It’s an allrounder. It’s wonderful. And if your skin is quite resilient and does well with vitamin C, I’d say trying this out is an absolute must. Um it for for me it’s just a really nice form. And because it’s ethylated form of sculbic acid, it’s shelf stable. So you don’t have to worry about this oxidizing. You don’t have to stress about this turning that, you know, almost orangey brown color and having to throw it away. This has a super long shelf life. So, a great option for people that don’t want to race through their vitamin C. They want to take their time with it. This won’t go off, won’t oxidize on you, and that I absolutely love. It’s a fantastic product. Um, for the month of November, the Neot have 23% off, which makes this I think about £24 here in the UK. So, super inexpensive for the quality of the formulation that you’re getting. And if you spend something over £35, £35, something like that, you get a free modulating glucose serum. Now, modulating glucosides is my favorite calming serum. So, if you buy a couple of products from Neod at the moment, again, I’ve linked this down below so you know how to access it. If you buy a couple of products from Neod, say this vitamin C and something else or a couple of bottles of this vitamin C, you’ll get the modulating glucosides free. And this is really important because I actually find the modulating glucides pairs so well with this ethylated discorbic acid because it’ll reduce the irritation that you’re going to get from it. Meaning you can even try this if your skin is potentially a little bit irritation prone. Use the vitamin C follow with the modulating glucides and your skin will be in equilibrium. You’ll be glowing to the gods. Everything will be right with the world. These two are match made in heaven. So I thought this is actually very good timing to do this video that it’s this moment. I think it’s for the next three days that they’re giving away the modulating gluccoides and you can buy the vitamin C and get that as a little freebie. Trust me, try them together. You will never look back. Now top two are these two special for individual reasons. Let’s go first talk about this. This is the Allies of Skin 20% vitamin C brightening and firming serum. They do a 35% as well. The 35% is this but with 15% um vitamin C derivative added. Takes it up a notch and you shouldn’t get too much sensitivity. Personally, I just like to stick with the 20%. I think it works so well. This I’m crowning the fastest acting vitamin C. Anyone out there like me that’s super impatient, doesn’t matter where you want those results now, this this is the product for you. The way that they formulated this alongside, you know, vitamin C, glutathione, brightening ingredients, this works on your hyperpigmentation within about 2 weeks. That is genuinely unheard of. I don’t think I found a single vitamin C out there that works as quick as this. Two weeks, your glow game will be on point. You’ll definitely start to see that hyperpigmentation break apart and your skin will just be glowing so so much. I love this. It doesn’t prickle. Again, because of the formulation, you get less sensitivity than you would expect from a fast acting 20% vitamin C. It hydrates you because it’s got a really nice dimethylone base. So, you put it on the skin and it kind of locks in the hydration. So, great for people that find vitamin C drying on the skin. You can use this. It’s just an all round holy grail. So wonderful. Now, it’s not the cheapest product out there, which is why I always stock up in November where Allies of Skin do 30% off for the whole month of November. I stock up. This is shelf stable. So again, you can buy a couple of them and not have to worry about them oxidizing, which I love. So I’ll buy enough to last me through a year whilst I’ve got that 30% off to bring that price point down. And I have got a cheeky little discount code, which I’ve added down in the description box, which will also get you a free lip balm with this. You’ll still get the 30% off, but if you use the discount code too, you get a free lip balm. And this is one of my absolute favorite lip balms for that winter skin. Works so so well. You’ll get that and your vitamin C. It’s like win-winwin for sure. Now, in last in first place, I was I said last place. In first place, go this. I know this is a favorite amongst the Madabout skin community. So, I I’m always preaching to the converted here. I know everybody loves this. This is the timeless vitamin C. They do a 10%, they do a 20%. That is the first big tick in the box. Different strengths work for different people. If you have sensitive skin, go for the 10%. If you’ve got resilient skin, go for the 20%. You got your furic acid. You’ve got your other antioxidants in here. You’ve also got a penetration enhancing ingredient which is really going to help this vitamin C to get into the skin to be super effective. Works really quickly. It has enhanced results. I actually find I got better results from this than the $150 skin suiticles. This is a fraction of the cost. And at the moment, if you’re watching this on the day of launch for the next couple of days, 50% off, half price. And that to me is music to my ears. Now, I will say with this one, don’t go wild and put 12 on order because whilst it is in airtight packaging, you will still get some oxidation if you leave it too long. So, I put like a maximum of two on order because you don’t want it to be sitting around losing efficacy. So, bear that in mind. But 50% off, the whole timeless range, but I think this is the best product that they have to offer. I love it. I like the 10%, I like the 20%. It really just comes down to individual skin sensitivity and needs. both work really, really well. And I say this to last because, let’s be honest, 50% off for an already ridiculously affordable vitamin C that comes in the best packaging that delivers so quickly and is just an all round superstar product. If you haven’t tried this already, give it a go. You won’t be disappointed. Just choose your strength based on your individual skin’s needs and make sure you do use the code to get that 50% because there is a specific code to get the 50% off. But now is the time to try it if you haven’t already cuz it is ridiculously affordable and I’m cheap so I really appreciate that. Right. So there you have it guys. A whistle stop tour of the best vitamin C serums of 2025. Now I didn’t actually choose like a top 10. It would have been easy to do like a top 10 but I actually just these are my favorite eight vitamin C’s and I thought there’s no point trying to pad out a top 10 by just you know throwing in two additional products. I’m not all about that. I wanted to really hone in on the products that I think deliver the best results and have consistently worked for me and these are the ones. So, this is the top eight. So, if you’ve made it this far, if you made it to the bitter end through the waffle, through the talk of glow game, through the talk of vitamin C derivatives and all of that, let me know by reaching down and leaving the number eight down in the comments. Leave the eight, which I think is supposed to be a lucky number for a lot of people. Leave the number eight so I can personally thank you for being with me through to the bitter end of another vitamin C video. Hopefully this has given you a little bit of food for thought and inspiration, but let me know your thoughts down in the comments section below. Wherever you are in the world, guys, stay safe, stay well, and love your skin. Take care.
