LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A death investigation is underway after a body was found in a South Londonderry Township home, according to police.
Officers with the South Londonderry Township Police Department were called to a home in the 300 block of Timber Lane in Mount Gretna around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday for a well-being check.
Once there, officers found a female resident of the home was dead.
“Officers will remain on-scene until after the completion of an autopsy, as it is an ongoing investigation,” police wrote in a press release Wednesday.
The police department said the incident was confined to one home, and there was no danger to nearby residents.
Dispatch records show a hazmat crew was also called to the home alongside police.
