BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Pet lovers in the Bridgeport area were treated to an adoption and spring festival hosted by WV Fitness.
Saturday’s Paws and Petals festival aimed to connect owners with animals. Booths hosted by various community businesses and organizations were available for people to check out, and activities and games added to the fun giving children in attendance a chance to play in the nice weather.

With all of the fun activities, organizers hoped to encourage people to adopt a new furry friend.
“We have paws of purpose here today, and the Doddridge County Humane Society and our goal is to get all the animals adopted and find their forever home,” Nolan Tucci, WV Fitness general manager said.
Pet owners were also welcome to bring their own pets to enjoy the nice day and some family fun.
