Emyvale woman Leah Murphy has been selected as this year’s Monaghan Rose.
She was crowned at last night’s Monaghan Rose of Tralee Selection Night at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Leah graduated from Queens University with a Degree in Computing and Information Technology and is now a manager at Options Technology Limited, based in Belfast.
The 25-year-old is a Gaeilgeoir and is deeply involved in the world of the Irish language.
She has been sponsored by Muineachán le Gaeilge, and she will represent the county in Tralee this summer.
