Fitbit Air is shaping up to be one of Google’s most intriguing wearable experiments yet, especially as early leaks hint at a completely screenless fitness watch. At a time when smartwatches are getting bigger and more feature-packed, this rumored device appears to take a radically different approach, focusing on simplicity, comfort, and core health tracking.

It was recently spotted on NBA star Stephen Curry’s wrist in a promotional Instagram post, adding to the buzz. While many details are still unconfirmed, the combination of a lightweight design, affordable pricing, and deeper integration with Google’s health ecosystem makes the Fitbit Air one of the most interesting upcoming wearables.

Fitbit Air leaks: Here’s what we know

Recent leaks suggest that the Fitbit Air could mark a major shift in how Google approaches fitness wearables. According to sources and rumors, the device is rumored to be a completely screenless fitness tracker designed for passive health monitoring. Instead of displaying data on your wrist, it will likely sync with a smartphone app, allowing users to track metrics like heart rate, activity, and recovery without constant on-device interaction.

In terms of design, the Fitbit Air is expected to focus heavily on comfort and customization. Leaks point to multiple band styles and colors, including options like Obsidian, Lavender, and Berry, alongside different materials such as Active Bands, Performance Loop Bands, and even metal mesh variants.

Recent supplier and retail leaks point to a mid-May launch, with the device priced around 99 Dollars for a one-time purchase. Unlike Whoop, the upcoming Fitbit would reportedly not feature a subscription-based service.

Interestingly, the device has already made several public appearances, with Basketball player Stephen Curry spotted wearing the unreleased tracker in promotional material, including a post on his Instagram and a YouTube video, hinting at a planned marketing push. In fact, multiple sightings of Curry wearing the device in public and on social media have added further credibility to these leaks.

All in all, the Fitbit Air could bring a new era for Google’s wearables, blending affordability, customization, and AI smarts in a screenless package. At 99 Dollars with no subscriptions for basics, it undercuts competitors while promising Whoop-like insights for a broader audience. Google is yet to make an official announcement, but leaks and rumors point towards an impressive launch at Google I/O this May.
