Spotify has experimented with personalized running playlists before, but is now moving more aggressively into the fitness space by adding collections and content from creators such as Yoga with Kassandra, Sweaty Studio, Chloe Ting, and Pilates Body by Raven. Additionally, Premium subscribers will gain access to over 1,400 classes from Peloton. This was reported by The Verge, according to UNN.

As the publication notes, Spotify has long expanded beyond music, adding audiobooks, podcasts, and video. Therefore, the move into fitness and wellness seems like a logical step, especially since many workout playlists already exist. At the same time, this further complicates an already cluttered app.
Users will have access to a new Fitness section where they can find playlists and workouts. Options include outdoor running, strength training, yoga, and meditation. Spotify also emphasizes that no special equipment is required for the classes—neither a Peloton bike nor a treadmill is needed.
The new fitness content will be available on the mobile app, desktop, and TVs, with the ability to switch easily between platforms. The blog post notes that one can “start a video workout on the TV, continue in audio format on a phone during a run, and finish with guided recovery on a smart speaker.”
Peloton content will initially be available only in selected markets, and workouts are primarily presented in English, though there are also options in Spanish and German.
