With nods to both moden-day minimalism and “Euphoria”-inspired make believe, Zara Larsson‘s beauty is a complicated portrait of revolving makeup trends.
Almost every look of the 28-year-old Swedish pop star partners elements of no makeup-makeup (think sun-kissed cheeks and glass skin) with color-drenched eyes, winged liner and purple-hued highlighter like it’s 2016 all over again. And while the whimsy adornments have a habit of changing, wispy lash clusters, cat-eye shadow and baby-doll blush have remained fixtures in her aesthetic for years.
Artist Sophia Sinot has brought Larsson’s fantasy beauty to life over the last couple of months, imagining the singer with tiger stripes on her lids, blue mascara on her lashes and rhinestone scatterplots over her temples. Ahead of her upcoming album release of “Midnight Sun: Girls Trip” on Friday, WWD is taking a look at five of Larsson’s top makeup moments, from the Grammy Awards to the 2025 MTV VMAs.

At the 68th annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 1, the “Lush Life” singer kept her aesthetic pared-back and clean, hollowing her eyes with bronzer and pale gold shimmer and painting her cheeks in a hot pink hue. The glam was courtesy of Sinot, who used an arsenal of Maybelline products.

For Spotify’s Best New Artist party in West Hollywood, ahead of the 2026 Grammys, Larsson boasted an icy blue highlighter on her brow bone and inner eye corners, wispy lash extensions, stone shadow on her lids, and lavender and pink shimmer on her temples. Meanwhile, her lips were coated in a deep rose gloss.

Dressed in blue and white sequins, Larsson brought ice princess eyes to “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” at the end of 2025. Under butterfly lashes, her signature black wing met the tip of her brows, where two rhinestones were glued. The same sparkly adornments were pasted in the corners of her eyes, drawing the gaze inward. Her blush (baby-doll pink, of course) melted over her eyes, fading into a matte white on her lids.

During her “Midnight Sun Tour” performance in England on Nov. 9, Larsson evoked Y2K fantasy with bedazzled brow bones, full lashes and watercolor shadow. Here, Sinot stamped sparkles next to purple and periwinkle hues on her lids before topping both off with a pinch of pink on the edge of her crease. The pink draped down from there, washing into the bubblegum blush under her bottom mascara.

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards saw Larsson sporting quiet glam to compliment her statement-making, rainbow-washed fashion. Here, her makeup evoked the kind of soft glam you’d expect Hailey Bieber to boast — glowy, even-toned skin and cheeks full of color. Her eyes, however, were Larsson-specific, embellished with long clusters on the ends of her lash line, white shadow dotted on her inner corners and a glistening pink hue over her lids.
