GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Spinoso Real Estate Group, owner and operator of The Oaks Mall, today announced a special Construction Preview event for the highly anticipated opening of Planet Fitness, inviting the Gainesville community to get an exclusive first look at the new fitness destination before it officially opens.
Taking place on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., this one-day event offers guests a behind-the-scenes preview of the space, along with a full day of entertainment, giveaways, and family-friendly experiences. Following the preview, Planet Fitness will officially open to the public on Monday, May 4, at noon.
Attendees can explore the new facility through guided sneak peek tours and experience the welcoming, judgment-free environment that Planet Fitness is known for. The event will also feature complimentary food and refreshments, swag and giveaways, and special appearances—including the iconic Chick-fil-A Cow for meet-and-greet photo opportunities. The LifeSouth Bloodmobile will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing an opportunity for guests to give back during the celebration.

The club will feature a large dedicated turf training zone, an open, glass-forward layout that draws attention from throughout the property, and a Black Card lounge designed with flexibility to introduce new amenities as member programming evolves.
