Hong Kong singer Charlene Choi just dropped a surprise on Instagram – she has married her fitness coach boyfriend Elvis Lam.
Sharing snaps of their rings alongside a sweet couple shot, the 44-year-old star wrote: “Congratulations to me for marrying you, and congratulations to you for marrying me. Please take care of me in the future, and thank you all for your blessings.”
The post drew a flood of well-wishes from netizens and friends in the industry like Sammi Cheng, Hacken Lee and Gigi Lai.
Charlene only confirmed the relationship earlier this year, so the surprise wedding caught many off guard.
Elvis, who is 10 years her junior, is a “star trainer” at a Central gym. When he’s not putting clients through their paces, he’s out hiking or playing tennis — basically living his best fitspo life.
And while he might not rake in pop star-level cash, he’s doing pretty well for himself. Word is his sessions can go up to HK$2,000 (S$326) an hour, and with a packed schedule, his monthly income reportedly hovers near HK$100K (S$16.3K). Not too shabby.
This marks Charlene’s second marriage. She was previously married to singer Ronald Cheng in a four-year union that only came to light when they announced their split in 2010.
