Spotify is transforming from a music streaming service into a daily wellness companion with the launch of Fitness with Spotify. Announced today, April 27, 2026, the platform is introducing guided workout experiences that integrate seamlessly with its existing library of music, podcasts, and audiobooks. Both Free and Premium users can now access curated content from top wellness creators, including Yoga with Kassandra, Chloe Ting, and Sweaty Studio.
A major highlight of this expansion is a new partnership with Peloton. Premium users in supported markets will gain access to over 1,400 ad-free, on-demand classes as part of their existing subscription. This extensive catalog features strength training, cardio, yoga, and meditation led by popular instructors like Ally Love and Rad Lopez. These classes require no specialized equipment, making high quality fitness accessible to a broader audience.
The move is backed by significant data showing that 70 percent of Premium users work out monthly, with over 150 million fitness playlists active globally. According to Roman Wasenmüller, Spotify’s VP and Global Head of Podcasts, the goal is to move beyond being a soundtrack and become a true companion for wellbeing.
Users can access these features by searching for fitness within the app. The experience is designed for flexibility, allowing users to start a video workout on a TV and transition to audio on a mobile device for a run. With offline downloads available and classes offered in English, Spanish, and German, Spotify is positioning itself as a central hub for an active lifestyle.
