Dr. Ruby E. Lockhart is the Founder & CEO of Hart to Hart Ministries, Inc. The nonprofit has put together a community wellness day to provide “health, hope, and healing.” This is a citywide initiative designed to connect individuals and families with health information, supportive services, and community resources. The event will bring together local agencies, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and community organizations to promote overall wellness and access to care.
According to organizers, at least a dozen health and wellness providers will be on hand with information and resources. At least half a dozen local community and outreach organizations will also be present to assist participants. There will also be several more resources available in the food and community support along with transportation and access support. The entire event is free of charge. Residents can expect to find health resources, social services, resource navigation, food and essentials, and encouragement and engagement.
The event will be held at The Gathering Covenant Church located at 435 West las Palmas Avenue in downtown Patterson on Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
